Hi everyone. This is Yasuko and it’s time
for Massage Monday. This week I’m going to show you three acupressure
points to help alleviate the menstrual cramps for those monthly sufferers out there like
me. I know it’s not very fun and ibuprophen used to be my best friend during my period
but since I’ve been trying to become more holistic and stay away from those drugs and
find natural remedies, these acupressure points have been helping me a lot. The first two points are under the belly button.
The first one is two finger widths under the belly button. Press this point with middle
finger supported by index and ring finger. Press this point as you breathe deeply up
to one minute. The second point is four finger widths under
the belly button. Again press this point with middle finger supported by the index finger
and the ring finger as you breathe deeply for one minute. For me I find this point the
most soothing and effective. The third one is on the leg. Find the inner
ankle bone. It’s the four finger widths up the ankle bone. When you follow the line straight
up from the ankle bone there is a depression. That’s the point. Press this point for up
to one minute as you breathe deeply. And repeat on the other side. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching.
