Alicia Silverstone Would Never Eat Meat. As If! | Fridge Tours | Women’s Health

Well I think people are scared of tofu
for many different reasons. People think that there’s too much estrogen; they
think it’s going to have men grow boobies and things like that, which is
ridiculous. Hey, you guys are here to see my fridge? There it is! Most of what’s in my fridge is to feed
my son, but it’s also to feed me. But he has his own shelf that says Bear. Bear
and I love to go into the garden – like all of these tomatoes came from the
garden; the basil, green beans, whatever we have that’s growing and come into the
kitchen and make food together. So I don’t use a ton of tofu, but the reason I
do use it is because you can transform this into anything, so it’s a good staple
to have around. It’s really delicious when you sort of bread it and fry it, but
I also could use it to make a pudding, or I could use it in multiple ways, so it’s
just sort of a thing that transforms into anything. For breakfast we start
with a whole-grain and a vegetable, like this morning we had blanched kale from
the garden with lemons squeezed on and flaxseed oil – flaxseed oil looks like
this one – and a umeboshi plum vinegar. Delicious. And sometimes we’ll
have steel-cut oats, and I’ll do it with dates and cinnamon, chopped up apples… but
the green is the important part, like this bok choy or kale. He doesn’t look that happy right now. He’s a little sad. We use this cheese from Vromage –
it’s insane. It’s vegan. And so we do that on good farmers market bread. For
dinner sometimes I’ll make pizza with Bear; I put all the vegetables that I
love on it – kale and mushrooms and peppers and tomatoes and onion, and
everything you can imagine. He just wants olives. So we always have
olives in the fridge. Olives, cheese and tomato sauce and he’s happy. When he
was younger, he always ate like this at school – plain rice with plain beans and
some veggies – and he would eat it all. Sadly, through being a child in the world,
he has discovered salt. The taste of like, incredible, salty, crazy things – like he
discovered hot sauce, unfortunately, so he’s really into this. And I try to
limit the amount that he has, but as he’s gotten a little older he feels like he
needs to be more – like you know, he wants a sandwich because that’s more fun and
everybody having sandwiches – but he does bring
these foods to school. I would never have any meat in my fridge. Or dairy. But definitely no meat ever. Well the main thing I do when I don’t have time to
cook is I cook in big batches, so I keep things in the freezer; I keep things in
containers, so I’m always reusing things. So if I make a big batch of rice, I eat
that fresh, plain, delicious rice, but then the next day I turn it into a stir-fry. I’m
not a big on-the-go-grab; I always want to have either real food, or I’ll just
skip it and have juices and soups. But my vitamins I have every single day. I
take MyKind Organics gummy. It’s so delicious. They’re not made with any
gelatin; they’re not made with any sugar – they are made with organic puree of
peaches. It’s very very clean. You know, because I don’t only eat vegetables and
plants, This is muffins that are made from these
massive zucchinis from the garden. So, these are delicious muffins. I’m gonna
take one right now! Thanks for checking out my fridge with me – see ya!

  1. You named your boy after an apex predator and you’re feeding him foliage. He will soon have Rickets. Symptoms include protruding sternum, and painful notches on the rib cage. (Bone deformity)

I know this because my mom was just like this and I developed these issues under that care. The irony isn’t as beautiful because my name is just Steven and not bear. Feed your little carnivore some food please.

  2. "I feel like such a heifer. I had two bowls of Special K, 3 pieces of turkey bacon, a handful of popcorn, 5 peanut butter M&M's and, like, 3 pieces of licorice…." said Cher.Times have changed, I guess.

  3. Rock/sea salt, raw dairy, raw honey and meat, particularly organ meats, are amazing for the body.

She has to get extra vitimins from pills because her diet doesn't do enough. Meat and raw dairy are essential. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ raw milk literally has every vitimin you need.

  4. I hate tofu. Yuck!! I’m not scared of it I just don’t like the texture. I’m not vegan by the way.

I tried vegan food and it made me so sick. Meat and a little bit of fish is essential in my household. We also love certain fruits and veg. That’s what keeps us healthy.

I’m not hating on Alicia Silverstone but her diet is way to restrictive. Glad to see she takes supplements though.

  5. Boy she turned out to be weird .She looks good just not good enough to justify eating like a geriatric patient .I need to look very young for life to eat like that .

  6. I wonder how anemic she is. I can’t imagine a diet like that would leave you feeling sustained and energized. She looks anemic.

  7. All the food she mentioned sounds good but with a piece of steak on the side 😂 as a Asian Who's staple is rice I can't eat plain rice alone lol that's like tasteless lol

  8. What if her son decides he wants to eat meat when he's a little older? I wonder if she would let him keep meat products in the house.

  9. When you’re used to eating like this it just becomes all you know. It’s great! I wish I was brought up on a healthier diet- maybe not vegan, but def healthier. It’s been sort of hard to re-teach myself how to eat for health. I don’t always succeed🤷🏻‍♀️

  10. I would like to see a mother-daughter dynamic with Alicia Silverstone and Diane Keaton in a movie. I think they would have good chemistry on screen. Reasons I’m sharing this is irrelevant. Thanks for this quality content.

  11. Just got through watching Blast from the past, love that movie . . . Rock on you did a great job – with this awesome video Alicia 🙂

  12. if what she is eating is so healthy and gets all her vitamins than why does she need to take 10 bottles of vitamins. obvioulsy shes not getting them in her vegan diet.

  13. This woman is obsessed with food. You live to eat or you eat to live? If i put her on a field with grass and corn she will devour all in 5 min.

  14. I'm very picky when it comes to my food and where it's placed in my fridge.

It's freaking me out that she just sits all her fresh veggies and fruit randomly on shelves. Does it not wilt just sitting loosely on a shelf? All around the other foods. Maybe she took it out of the crispest for the video

  15. Who puts a half eaten apple in their fridge? Can she not put it in a glass container? It's just sitting on the glass shelf eaten side down

  16. I'm sure she grew all those pills in her backyard. She doesn't know or care what's in them but "it's vegan!"

  17. Alicia, I am a huge fan of yours. Your movie Clueless has been replayed in our house over and over and over again when my children were growing up. It is a cult classic in our family. They have memorized your lines.
I learned from the Child Development class that nutrition is important. Leafy green vegetables help build strong bodies later in life. I like your food style. Your family is lucky that you chose vegetables and healthy food. Thank you for sharing your ideas.

  18. Brittany Murphy (Tai): "No Shit You Guys Have Coke here" Alicia Silverstone (Cher): "Yeah This Is America" -Clueless

  19. I hate to nitpick, but her son looks like a girl. And who names their kid after an animal?! 😂🐻 Hey just saying.

  20. Holy crap, look at the size of that zucchini! I’ve never seen one anywhere *close* to that size! 😮

  21. Lets be real though, you really have to have your life together and some money and time to eat like this. Vegan products arent cheap.
