How Often Should I Be Screened for Breast Cancer?

– [Narrator] How often
should you be screened for breast cancer? Women ages 20 and older should
conduct a self-exam monthly, to ensure there are no notable
changes in the breasts. Women ages 20 to 40
should have a breast exam conducted by their
physician every three years. If you’re older than 40,
schedule both a mammogram and breast exam annually. Talk to your physician,
starting as early as age 25, about your risk for breast cancer, as higher risk women may
benefit from genetic counseling or early screening. (Knowledge is power. If you have questions about screening – we can help.) (askSARAH – visit asksarahnow.com
