Nurse Practitioner: Patricia H. Eberhard, FNP, WHNP

My name is Patty Eberhard. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and
Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. I remember in fifth grade,
my fifth grade teacher was a paramedic and she had told us stories about some
of the things that she had done. And, that’s my earliest
memory of medicine. That sparked my interest and
it was very exciting. The patients that I see are women
anywhere from their teenage years, all the way through menopause. And all different types of subjects. Anywhere from first
starting your periods and birth control and preconception and trying to get pregnant to fertility,
all the way through menopause. My favorite part of my
job is meeting people and hearing people’s stories and
where they’ve been and what’s going on. Everybody has their own story and
why they make the choices that they do. And I find that very fascinating. And it’s very fun to
talk people about that. I know that it’s uncomfortable
being in a OB-GYN office and everybody is nervous and
I understand that. So, when I first go in the room, I like
to talk a little bit about the person. About who you are and
not just why are you here. We’ll get to that in just a minute. But tell me a little bit
about yourself first. And let’s try to get to know one another
before we talk about your OB-GYN issues.
