Open Gym: MCore & Mass Suit: Part I – Sweat Inc., Season 1

As you can see,
we’ve invited 24 people. We’ve equipped
all of the participants with heart rate monitors. So we’ll be checking
their heart rate and their calorie burn
in real time. Additionally,
to measure muscle effort, we’ve equipped all attendees
with the Athos body suit. The Athos suit
uses the science of
electromyography. The suit is loaded
with EMG sensors to measure muscle effort. When your muscles activate, the EMG sensors will read
the electric activity and give us
a muscle effort score. It’s time for Open Gym! – How are you guys doing today?
– All: Good. My name is Todd Gates. I’m a former strength
conditioning coach. Welcome, everybody. My name is Jesse Nicassio, and this is the MASS Suit. The bench was invented
in 1950 for men. That’s been his biggest issue,
guys, is his personality. He’s so low-key. Let’s get suited up. All you pretty much
have to do is just one single time,
and then it’s pretty much
fitted to you. Number three,
when you lay on a bench,
you’re fully supported, so are your muscles on or off? He’s taking too much time
to justify his product instead of just selling it
with the workout. Let’s start throwing
that jab right here. Yeah! How many times
have you been at the gym, and you’re seeing
someone lay on the bench, and they’re kneeling up
on the bench, or the guy that sweated up
the bench, right? – Didn’t clean the bench?
– What the hell is going on? – Core! Twist that core!
– Randy: Hey, Todd. Hey, man, come over here
for a minute.
