SOT OPEN NO SUPER “I WAS 48 AND I SAID ‘I’M GOING TO DIE, YOU KNOW, I’M GOING TO DIE FROM THIS. BECAUSE YOU HEAR ‘CANCER’ AND YOU THINK IT’S THE END FOR YOU.” TRACK LAURA ADKINS WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER IN NOVEMBER 20-13 AFTER FEELING A LUMP IN HER BREAST. SOT “SO THEY DID A BIOPSY AND IT CAME BACK POSITIVE FOR INVASIVE DUCTAL CARCINOMA. SO THAT WAS THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY FOR ME.” TRACK WITH FULLSCREEN THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY SAYS THERE WILL BE AN ESTIMATED 15-HUNDRED NEW BREAST CANCER CASES THIS YEAR FOR WOMEN WEST VIRGINIA, 36-HUNDRED FOR KENTUCKY, AND 10-THOUSAND FOR OHIO. TRACK LIKE LAURA, THE WOMEN DIAGNOSED HAVE A LONG ROAD AHEAD OF THEM. SHE SAYS THE SUPPORT FROM DOCTORS, NURSES, FRIENDS AND FAMILY OVER THE YEARS FROM THE DIAGNOSIS THROUGH TREATMENT IS WHAT KEPT HER GOING.
