Sarah Logan, OB/GYN | Esprit Woman Care

(breezy music) – All right. Hi there, my name’s Sarah Logan. I’m an Ob/Gyn, and I work
with Esprit Woman Care at Sky Ridge Hospital in Denver, Colorado. So just a little bit about myself, I did go to medical school
at the University of Utah, and I lived in Utah doing
research for a period of time for a pharmaceutical company. After medical school, I went to residency at the University of
Oklahoma, and that includes all of your training as an Ob/Gyn. After that, I went into
practice with a small practice in Boise, Idaho. Some of my special
interests or extra training that I’ve gone through since residency would include
extensive laparoscopic surgical treatment of women’s problems, specifically hysterectomy
through a single site. We’re one of the only groups
in the state that does it. So areas of interest include obstetrics. Probably about 30% of our
practice is obstetrics, and that includes high risk as well as complicated
pregnancies, including multiples. Other areas would include gynecology, and that would include
the whole broad scope of contraception, surgical
approaches to problems, and minimally invasive procedures
as well as routine care. I do really enjoy practicing medicine. It was sort of a lifelong aspiration. Specifically, I enjoy
obstetrics and gynecology in that it’s usually a happy experience. It’s wonderful to see families
grow and take care of people as they go through life changes. And it’s also very interesting
and science-oriented. There’s always new things
coming out in regards to how to take care of pregnant women, how to treat other gynecologic problems, and so it’s remains
interesting and very rewarding. So I think our philosophy of care would be to include the whole person
and to strive for excellence in everything that we do. I do feel that we’re
responsive to patients, timely in phone calls and
prescriptions, enjoy meeting with people and explaining. All of us, including myself,
will take the time necessary to explain what’s going on and
kind of the treatment process and prognosis and what we’re looking at. We strive to be very informed and up to date in everything that we’re addressing with patients, and so that it can be a rewarding
experience for all of us. (breezy music)
