15% of women experience some sort of
mood or anxiety disorder and pregnancy and up to 20% in postpartum period
however a lot of moms just don’t understand when they are having symptoms
a lot of new moms think it’s normal when we had our fourth daughter
it was extremely stressful and it was a result of I believe a lot of changes in
our life and I became much more worried much more anxious I would become
extremely suspicious that that that something bad was going to happen a lot
of people come in feeling very overwhelmed or having really guilty
thoughts some people even have really scary intrusive thoughts there’s a
certain point where it’s affecting or impairing a moms ability to take care of
herself and take care of her child I had gotten to see dr. Reminick after about
five months of dealing with these symptoms she immediately recognized them
and I remember that first sense of relief that we were on the right path
finally to getting better because I at least had a diagnosis she wasn’t just
concerned about me she was concerned about my family as well which I felt was
crucial in getting better we really form a relationship and a bonds here in this
clinic that I don’t think patients experience anywhere else I think we’re
really there with them at such a difficult transition of their lives one
that they really want to make sure is the best possible experience they
specialize in meeting my needs and getting me back on track to health
giving me the peace of mind that even if recovery is far off that it’s still
possible
